The client had designed the site already and sent me a series of images to match–but they were to be matched entirely in CSS. It makes a lot of sense, it looks faster, is more SEO friendly, and while I do usually prefer a “higher-end” design, in this instance the minimalist approach works to attract the eye to the purpose of the site, sending stranger’s compliments.
Technologies used: PHP5, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, MySQL
In essence, a user signs up to the site (with email validation of course) and is then able to send compliment’s to random people, based entirely on their photo. Technically this project wasn’t difficult, but I enjoyed working with the concept of making it simple for people to get a little pick me up in their day.
